Town Towels Lake District – Blea Tarn and the Langdale Pikes Tea Towel- Tea|Tea Towels

€œThe fleeting hour of life of those who love the hills is quickly spent, but the hills are eternal. Always there will be the lonely ridge, the dancing beck, the silent forest; always there will be the exhilaration of the summits€? So said Alfred Wainwright, fell-walker extraordinaire and champion of the Lakes. With mountains, forests, rivers, lakes, moors and waterfalls, the Lake District really does have it all.

Blea Tarn is one of Lakeland’€™s true hidden gems. Tucked away in a quiet spot north of Coniston Water, it offers spectacular views of the craggy Langdale Pikes. On a sunny day, the mountains reflect their upside-down doubles on its surface. Wordsworth sang its praises as a liquid pool that glittered in the sun€? But it’€™s not just known for its bucolic vistas. A site of special scientific interest, these waters are home to schools of perch, pike and brown trout.

This design captures Blea Tarn in all its summer glory: the mountains mirrored on its glossy waters, the golden fields behind it drenched in sun. Anyone who has walked these hills is sure to love this tea towel!
